Originally from Vancouver, Canada, Andrew moved to Australia in 2019 after what was meant to be a solo backpacking trip quickly turned into something more permanent. Drawn in by the lifestyle, the landscapes and the winter climbing conditions, he decided the seasons down under were simply too good to leave behind.

Most weekends you’ll likely find Andrew climbing in the Blue Mountains, but his love of the outdoors extends well beyond the crags. Over the years he’s covered plenty of ground hiking across Australia and New Zealand, wearing through more than his fair share of boots along the way. Highlights include Tasmania’s iconic Overland Track and New Zealand’s spectacular Routeburn Track.

Andrew joined UTracks as a Marketing Executive following a role with eco-focused technology company Faunatech, where he worked on digital marketing initiatives supporting wildlife monitoring and conservation efforts. Prior to that, he combined design and digital skills as a graphic designer at Beer Cartel, helping bring craft beer brands to life online.

With a background spanning design, digital marketing and outdoor adventure, Andrew brings a creative perspective to sharing the stories behind active travel experiences. Whether it’s walking historic European trails or cycling through quiet countryside, he believes the best journeys happen when you slow down and explore a destination at your own pace.
