Michele’s love of travel began early and has shaped much of her life since. A working holiday through Europe opened the door to a world of adventure, from skiing in Verbier in the Swiss Alps to sailing in the Red Sea and working on a kibbutz in northern Israel. Those early experiences cemented her passion for exploring new landscapes and cultures.

Her travels have since taken her across Europe and Latin America many times over. Peru holds a particularly special place in her heart – not only for its spectacular scenery and unforgettable cuisine (especially ceviche), but also because it’s where she met her future husband while visiting Cusco.

Michele has always been drawn to destinations where the outdoors takes centre stage. Before returning to the travel industry she spent several seasons working at ski resorts in Australia’s Snowy Mountains, making the most of every opportunity to stay active in the snow.

These days she shares her love of travel with her children, taking them on family adventures through Asia, Europe and Peru to visit relatives. Unsurprisingly, they’ve all caught the travel bug and are already encouraging Michele to plan their next walking adventure in Europe.

Alpine landscapes are among Michele’s favourite places to explore and she dreams of hiking through the dramatic peaks of the Dolomites in Italy – her favourite European country. She’s also drawn to more adventurous mountain experiences, including Via Ferratas, abseiling and other thrilling ways to experience the mountains.

At UTracks, Michele enjoys helping travellers create journeys that balance beautiful landscapes, cultural discovery and a sense of adventure – the same elements that have inspired her own travels for many years.
