Walking may be the traditional way to explore the Lake District, but discovering it by e-bike offers a fresh and immersive perspective. With gentle pedal-assist, you’re free to breeze along quiet country lanes through lush valleys, past shimmering lakes, and over scenic passes. This thoughtfully designed route gives you time to explore some of the region’s most iconic villages and landscapes. Ride into Grasmere, once home to William Wordsworth, and stroll to the poet’s former cottage. Enjoy a lakeside break at Ullswater, often called England’s most beautiful lake, and soak up the market town charm of Keswick, nestled beneath the northern fells. Along the way, the countryside that inspired Beatrix Potter’s beloved stories unfolds around you – a living backdrop of stone walls, woodlands and timeless farms. Over four days, you’ll ride an average of 56km/35mi each day, with flexibility to shorten or extend your rides. E-bikes make the journey accessible for most riders with a moderate level of fitness. If you prefer more of a challenge, standard hybrid bikes are also available – just ask when booking.

Frequently Asked Questions

Of course you can bring your own bike. Please contact our team for exact details on the price reduction.

Yes, your bicycle comes with rear panniers. It also comes with a Garmin device on your handlebar with the routes available for you.

It is a good idea to have your own tool as the bicycles often come with limited tools as people often loose them. You might want to bring lights as well, as you can always have low cloud and low visibility, or maybe you want to cycle somewhere in the evening.

The e-bikes should be all ready to go and there is a van and mechanic support on the tour. These are normally never far away, but during the course of the tour you may want to replace an innertube after a puncture, perhaps fix an innertube, do minor brake adjustments and adjust seat pillar and handle bars, if necessary with Alan keys etc.

Under British Law it is not compulsory to wear a cycling helmet, but for safety and insurance purposes you should do. We recommend bringing your own helmet on your UK cycling holiday.
